Web design work...
Lately I've been doing more web design work which I've really been enjoying. Here are few links to some of the recent ones I've created...
The logo above was developed for Harlin's Helpers. The link below is to the website I designed for the company.

This site was developed for Monica Sholar, a new fiction author in Detroit, MI. She will be releasing her first novel very soon entitled No Pie In The Sky. Above is the book cover layout that I created and below is the link to her site.

To Tweet or not to Tweet?
So the latest rave in social networking is definitely Twitter. And if you haven't heard of it then you must be living in a box. Every time I turn on the T.V. I hear another television show telling their viewers where they can follow them and a new story about a celebrity and their latest status posts. Personally, I am an avid facebook user and I like the fact that facebook allows you to keep up with friends through posting photo albums, writing notes or wall posts to each other, join various groups and also...status updating. I still have not grasped the concept of having a whole system in place for status updates only like Twitter provides. I mean hey, I don't even update my status too often on facebook! And having people know what I'm doing on a daily basis is just a little strange to me. And with all that said, I still think it may be somewhat cool to try and may be beneficial for people in business like myself. However, I am afraid that I will start viewing everything I do with a "twittering eye" and trying to think of clever short statuses to describe my every move! OK...I went too far. Anyway, I will continue to ponder this question and if I decide to take the plunge I will be sure to blog about my decision. ;)

Cool Site for Designers

I often surf the web for sites of other graphic/web design companies, fine artists etc. I just find it helpful and inspiring to see what other artsy folks are up to out there. So I just ran across a great site called Smashing Magazine that really does seem to smash you with all sorts of design info. The address is http://www.smashingmagazine.com/. I haven't had the opportunity to thoroughly check it out yet. But from what I've seen so far it seems pretty cool and I thought I would share with anyone else who loves to learn more information on graphic and web design. And the cool thing about this site is that everything is combined into one site which then directs you to other interesting sites. Ok, so there is my shout out for the day. TTYL :)

Art Nouveau

Victor Horta was a Belian architect born in 1861. His style inspired modernists all over Europe and he captured the beauty of Art Nouveau with his beautiful curvilinear designs. His famous staircase design for the Hotel Tassel in 1893 is breathtaking and is seen as the start of the Art Nouveau era. His style is an inspiration to me and his staircase is one of my favorite works of art.
